HVO – hydrotreated vegetable oil

The renewable diesel alternative

Hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) is an advanced biofuel that is growing in popularity in Switzerland and other countries as a sustainable alternative to conventional diesel fuel. An environmentally friendly alternative to fossil fuels, HVO is produced from renewable raw materials such as vegetable oils,

has a better environmental footprint, and helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions. It generates up to 90% fewer CO2 emissions than conventional diesel and is also free of sulfur and aromatic compounds.
