Maximum Gasoline Performance

Motor gasoline, often referred to simply as gasoline, is a mixture of light hydrocarbons with a boiling range between that of butane and kerosene. It is primarily made from refined petroleum components and is an important fuel for internal combustion engines.

Modern gasoline engines require a minimum octane rating to minimize the risk of engine damage caused by knocking. A higher octane rating also enables higher performance and efficiency. A distinction is also made between summer and winter gasoline for specific climate conditions.
