Debris on the bottom of the tank can clog pipes and burner nozzles, resulting in costly malfunctions. Only regular expert care will prevent the heating oil forming sludge. Tank overhauls are therefore essential for the safety of your heating system and are recommended every 10 years. These overhauls must be carried out by a licensed company to keep your building insurance valid and prevent unexpected faults.
Underground tanks
Since January 2015, it has been a requirement for underground tanks to be double-walled with an inner casing and equipped with a leak warning device.
