At volenergy, security of supply for our customers and filling stations always takes priority. Our long-term supply contracts with refineries at home and abroad maintain inventory levels and minimize risk, allowing us to keep Switzerland supplied with premium-grade heating and vehicle fuels.

Every year, we transport more than 2 billion liters by rail and waterways, which is equivalent to around 70,000 road tanker loads. This helps us ensure a smooth, reliable energy supply.

volenergy’s network includes 17 large-scale tank farms throughout Switzerland, six of which are owned or co-owned by our company. At these strategically located sites, we store a variety of products, including conventional and biogenic heating and vehicle fuels.

We also have large mandatory storage quantities to cope with any supply bottlenecks, even in unpredictable situations. This ensures that sufficient fuel quantities are always available for our filling stations, end users, and major customers.
