OilFox: The digital level meter for your tank

With smart tank monitoring app

Use your smartphone to monitor the fill level of your tank. Your OilFox data is sent directly to the app, which issues a timely notification if the fill level is low, allowing you to order fuel replenishments right away. With digital tank monitoring, you can also see your previous consumption and how long your heating oil or diesel supply is expected to last. All data is encrypted for maximum security and convenience.

Space-saving installation without the need for a power connection

OilFox is quick and easy to install. With a height of just 8 cm, the level meter fits easily in basement rooms with low ceilings and in manhole pits. It is IP67-rated and, thanks to its robust housing, is suitable for indoor and outdoor tanks. The robust level meter does not require a power connection because it runs for 10 years on the battery that comes with it. Simply screw the OilFox device into the opening of your tank and it will start measuring the level of your tank ultrasonically (accurate to 1 cm).

FAQs

For which tanks is OilFox intended?

  • Diesel and heating oil tanks
  • Used oil and water tanks
  • Rectangular, oval or cylindrically shaped tanks
  • Battery tanks: OilFox can also accurately measure the fill level of these tanks by querying and calculating the total volume and the dimensions of the individual tanks.

What other requirements does the tank have to meet?

  • For immediate installation: 1.25-inch, 1.5-inch, or 2-inch diameter opening
  • The opening must be at least 8 cm from the edge and at least 8 cm from the top of the tank (OilFox must be installed perpendicular to the tank).
  • If an analog level meter is present, it can be replaced.
  • If the opening diameter is not the right size, an adapter can be purchased from a specialist dealer.

What must I be aware of when using OilFox?

  • Although OilFox is IP67-rated, it is not fully waterproof, which means a connection and therefore fault-free operation cannot be guaranteed if conditions are permanently damp/waterlogged.
  • The pre-programmed measuring frequency of the OilFox for level checking is daily. The current level can be queried manually at any time directly on the device.
  • The default setting in the app allows you to specify when you only want to be notified and when a push notification warning is to be sent.

Where can I purchase the OilFox app and how does it work?

  • It is available in the usual stores
  • It works on Android phones (software version 4.3 or above) and iPhone 8 or above
  • Fill levels can be viewed in the app on a cell phone or tablet.
  • Both OilFox and the app are being continuously developed.
  • The measurement data can be e-mailed from the app in CSV format.
  • The statistics include the level in liters, the measured value in centimeters, and the measurement date.

What happens to my data?
